Concert Dress Code
YPCO wears white collared dress shirts with black pants or skirts and black shoes (NO SNEAKERS). A black dress is also acceptable. Skirts should be knee length and comfortably worn while seated.

Practice-a-thon
Every October we hold a Practice-a-thon where all the young musicians log their practice hours. We ask them to get sponsors who will pledge a certain amount of money per practice hour, or a set donation. We award prizes to the children who raise the most money for the orchestra, and those who have the most practice hours! Everyone who logs hours gets a prize, and if we meet our collective hours goal - and there's a pizza party!

Frequently Asked Questions
I missed the start of the Season - can I join late?
We're sorry to have missed you at the beginning of the season, but we welcome new members anytime. Please email manager@ypco.org or Request a Rehearsal Visit.
What if I have to miss a rehearsal, is that okay?
We understand that things come up. We appreciate that you try your best to be at every rehearsal, and we miss you when you are not present. If you know you will be out, please email the orchestra manager@ypco so we don't worry about you.
I have donations from the Practice-a-thon that are late, can I still turn them in?
Of course! We are so thankful that you've found sponsor that support your practicing, and in turn, support YPCO. Bring them in to any rehearsal and give them to the orchestra manager.
